Our Right Note Studio has professional instructors for piano, guitar, voice, drums, bass, woodwinds, brass, orchestra, and even ukulele! Right Note Studio is located in the same building as Swicegood Music Store. Video chat lessons available on a limited basis for out-of-town students.

Band Instruments – Purchase or Rent

We are authorized dealers for Bach, Jupiter, Selmer, King, Conn, Pearl, Prelude, and many more brands. We carry Flutes, Clarinets, Saxophones, Trumpets, and Trombones. We can order any instrument from these brands if we do not have them in stock. We also rent band instruments to middle school students. Flutes, Clarinets, Trumpets, and Trombones rent for $36/month, and Alto Saxophones rent for $60/month. This includes tax and MRR (maintenance repair and replacement)

Swicegood Music Company was founded in 1956 by Roy Swicegood. In 1971 the Lake Charles location was opened under the management of Orville Kelley. In 1980, Swicegood Music moved locations to their current location. Orville Kelley opened a branch in Rosepine, LA and DeRidder, LA as well. Both locations are now closed. Swicegood Music Company of Louisiana, Inc. is now owned and operated by Orville’s son, John Kelley and his wife, Suzanne Kelley.
